It was another exciting week for Game of Throws, with Lords across the realm sending their first Knights into battle and teams jostling for position atop the leaderboard. The Northwest remains dominant, and the Big Two – Bremerton and Salem – continue to have a lock on the Top 10. But with big performances from Knights like Ser Ian Sawyer of House Lizotte (Denver) who racked up 162 points for his team in a single outing, it is still anybody’s game.
We also got a nice surprise from across the pond when Ultiworld Disc Golf published a profile of HBO Game of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (a.k.a., Ser Gregor Clegane, a.k.a., The Mountain) posing next to a Discmania Game of Throws Logo! We are pretty stoked to see The Mountain – who just signed on to be part of Innova’s Ambassador Team – throwing his considerable weight behind our event. Needless to say – an invitation has been extended and we’ll see if House Björnsson is in the cards for Season 2. (Disclaimer: contrary to Ultiworld’s graphic, we have not yet announced anything regarding GOT Season 2)
Baton Rouge has stepped up with this year’s first full-round shot by shot coverage! We are hoping to get more footage of players competing for Game of Throws glory as we head into the later part of the competition.
